The Kind of People I Admire

A person who believes in themselves enough to follow their dreams.

A person who sees setbacks as challenges instead of failures.

A person who has pride in themselves enough to be their own person.

A person who is not afraid to stand alone in their beliefs and judgement

Anyone who is a leader and not a follower

A person who remains true to themselves instead of letting society dictate the kind of person they should be or what they believe in

A person who sees their shortcomings as gifts even when others see them as ' faults '

A person who doesn't rely on others to make their decisions for them

A person who is not afraid to say what they mean even if the group disagrees

A person who admits when they are wrong

A person who loves who they want to love and the way they want to love them

A person who values education and intelligence

A person who likes the way they look even if society considers them unattractive

A person who realizes that mental health is as important as physical health

A person who says " thank you " for the smallest of things

A person who says, " I love you " regularly and means it

A person who is not afraid to show their love for someone when others are around

A person who respects themselves to the point where they would rather be alone than used

A person who knows that the ' meaning of life ' is what the individual makes it

A person who knows that they can have a life without having friends (especially the wrong friends)

A person who has no tolerance for someone doing harmful and hurtful things

A person who can admit to someone that another person is better at something than they are

A person who can be proud of someone else's successes instead of jealous of them

A person who would rather be alone than disrespected

A person who adopts children even when they can have them

A person who never makes excuses

A person who can discipline themselves in order to do better

A person who can teach others but is also an optimistic student towards things they aren't sure of

A person who admits they don’t know something instead of pretending they always do

A person who doesn't curse or shot but gets their point over in a calm and respectable way

A person who's not afraid to dust themselves off and try again

A person who's creativity puts them in a class of their own.

A person who minds their own business and respect others' choices in life

Last but not least…

* A person who is not afraid to tell society to f--- off in order to be their own person

The photo is of the Spice Girls. And no I am not a fan of their music or anything. I did admire them for being so different though. So I felt they were the perfect photo to include with this. Hope you like my list and if any of this describes you then you are A-okay in my book!

We share some of the same sentiments of those things we admire in a person..

Reminds me a lot of Atticus Finch, considered to be the greatest hero in all of movies/literature. Because I have to relate every thing I see to movies :)

Individuality goes a long way. It seems to me that a lot of the pop culture and our 'younger generations' all look the same these days.

Great post!
