A Rude Awakening

Sometimes I am simply amazed at how rude people can be. Okay I knew the world wasn't peachy keen and I know that everyone isn't as kind as I try to be. I am overly kind and considerate because I was raised with manners and breeding. I have this, oh insane notion that you should treat people with kindness, or how you expect to be treated. Respect is a big issue with me. What a fool right? I see that rudeness is completely overtaking the world. What happened to common courtesy? Why are people so mean and hateful these days? You'd think with our country at war people would be more civil but they are meaner than they've ever been. It's like whatever the heck someone wants to do, they do it no matter how hurtful or rude it is.

It's happening in all aspects of life. You go somewhere and people walk in front of you without saying, "Excuse me ". They open doors and even though you are behind them they let the door fall back in your face. They get in front of you with cell phones talking a mile a minute as if someone wants to hear their boring, idiotic conversations. Men have lost the ounce of manners they used to have. I remember when a man would hold the door for women walking behind them. Now they go in first as if they could care less. People don't answer you back whether it's a phone call or simple email. Cashiers have attitudes like the downsides of their job is your fault.

I'm on my soap box about this today because I'm sick of it. I am sick of people who think being rude is tolerable. Whose fault is it? Is it your parents for not teaching you correct manners? Is it the fault of the world becoming a big field of turmoil and hate? Could be but you need to look at yourself in the mirror and see whose fault it really is. If someone else can say " Excuse me ", " Sorry ", " How are you today? ", you can at least pry apart your sorry a-- lips to say something too. People say the world's a bitch...well looking at its inhabitants I'd say there's only a tiny percent of people who aren't these days as well. What a life? What a world? And I escaped my mother's womb for this? Sometimes I ache to crawl back in it.

Yeah reflect on this...

And I'll reflect on that...
